Background:

Deceased parents had left behind a varied portfolio consisting of a family home, commercial and residential investment properties and rural land.

 

Problem: 

Siblings as executors could not agree on an appropriate course of sale of the assets and had been at an impasse for 18 months. Relationships were deteriorating and solicitors had been engaged.

 

Solution:

G&J were engaged to provide a strategy for selling down property assets in a fair, and reasonable way that maximized market value.

 

The strategy put forward was accepted by all parties, in conjunction with their legal representation.

G&J interviewed agents, appraised properties and delivered marketing recommendations.

The various campaigns were then managed by G&J, including all auctions and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).

Outcome:

Relevant properties were disposed of in an orderly and collaborative manner, thereby maximising net sale price and avoiding a potential court battle and additional legal costs. Proceeds were than able to be distributed per the Estate's instructions with benefit for all.
