STRATEGIC DISPOSAL
OF RURAL PROPERTY

Background:

This was a multi-generational farming family who were approached by multiple purchasers to acquire their farm, which had been effectively gazetted for rezoning.

Problem:

Pressure was mounting from potential buyers, almost to level of harassment.

The sums of money and significance of the transaction well beyond the experience of the clients and they sought independent advice.

Solution:

A detailed discovery process was undertaken to understand the current value of the land versus the future value, whilst also taking into account, and presenting, what the client's various options were.

This included surveys, discounted feasibility analysis, exploring marketing options and civil contractors' pricing.

Outcome:

Ultimately titles were sold in a staggered manner under a complex arrangement that took into account climbing value of land over time.

Significant negotiations were undertaken along the way to ensure the price was maximized. An amazing outcome for this family.
